Nursing home allowed to admit new patients after suspension lifted

A Blount County nursing home is allowed to admit new residents after the state lifted a suspension.

The Tennessee Department of Health says it lifted the suspension at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation-Fairpark in Maryville Tuesday after officials say it corrected problems.

Back in August, the nursing home was ordered not to admit any new patients.

During a complaint investigation, the state said it found various violations, including administration, nursing services and resident rights.
